3 for 3 on New Year’s Sailfish

We had a great family from New York out for a trip today and all 3 clients caught their first sailfish! We love being a part of these experiences that will never be forgotten. The mahi, tuna, wahoo, and bottom fishing has been good, but we couldn’t buy a sailfish bite the past few weeks and the entire Stuart fleet has been frustrated. We heard of some sails caught and sighted up around Ft. Pierce, so we ran north and found them as well as some skipjack tuna and bonito to keep the action going. We had 3 sails come into the spread and we ended up catching and releasing all three. We got two of them tagged for the Billfish Foundation, so hopefully our anglers will learn some cool info if the tags are ever recovered in the future. We think it is a sign of things to come and we expect the sailfishing to improve as the cold fronts roll through and we get into our winter pattern. We have some days available in January, so book a trip and let’s get out on the water!
