The spring Mahi-Mahi fishing continues to be great. There are lots of weed lines from 150′ all the way out to 600′. We had a good day today, caught several nice fish and some smaller ones as well. These fish were all caught on naked ballyhoo or on a pink and purple moldcraft over a ballyhoo. We expect the Mahi-Mahi fishing to get better and better as we get into the summer pattern. We had a beautiful offshore trip yesterday, albeit with challenging fishing conditions. The Mahi-Mahi bite has been great lately! John and his party caught several nice fish this week including this one. Some Sailfish and nice King Mackerel have been mixed in as well. We have dates open, schedule a trip today.
There has been a great wahoo bite of Stuart the last few days. We caught a couple nice ones, some mahi-mahi and tagged and released a sailfish yesterday. This was all out deep, in about 600′. Tons of bonito in close, so we decided to go deeper and it paid off!
